What your day will look like
Design & Drafting
- Assist Electrical Engineers and Project Managers with the design and drafting support for multi-disciplinary projects
- Assist with the preparation of reports, specifications, and project memos
- Assist with electrical calculations including voltage drop, load calculations, short circuit analysis and Arch Flash studies
On-site observation
Performance of electrical observations and inspections during constructionReview shop drawings, respond to request for information from contractorsCommissioning of on-site systemsBusiness travel upon requestLearning & Development

What you will need to succeed
An electrical engineering technologist diplomaRegistration as a Certified Engineering Technologist or eligibility to be certified within six monthsStrong organizational and interpersonal skillsExperience
Two to three years’ work experience, however less experienced professionals will be consideredWorking knowledge of AutoCAD 2014 (or newer)Working knowledge of Revit as a Building Information Management (BIM) design toolWorking knowledge of Canadian Electrical Code and related building codesMicrostation experience is an assetHands-on experience in the design and drafting of electrical systems is requiredCompensation
$47,900 - $77,100
Dillon is including the salary range that we in good faith believe may offer for this position. It will be dependent on the successful applicant’s education, experience, and skills, in addition to internal equity and geographic region. Dillon reserves the right to pay outside of the posted range, contingent on factors unrelated to an applicant’s gender or other status protected by provincial and / or federal law.
