Description de postePerformance of electrical observations and inspections during construction Review shop drawings, respond to request for information from contractors Commissioning of on-site systems Business travel upon request Commit to self-development and ongoing learning and professional development Contribute to Dillon’s corporate profile through active participation in professional associations and committees An electrical engineering technologist diploma Registration as a Certified Engineering Technologist or eligibility to be certified within six months Strong organizational and interpersonal skills Two to three years’ work experience, however less experienced professionals will be considered Working knowledge of AutoCAD 2014 (or newer) Working knowledge of Revit as a Building Information Management (BIM) design tool Working knowledge of Canadian Electrical Code and related building codes Microstation experience is an asset Hands-on experience in the design and drafting of electrical systems is required Achievement : do the work to hit the target; Continuous Development : always learning; always adapting; always growing; Creativity : discover new possibilities; Courage : do the things that matter, especially when it’s hard; Inclusiveness : enabling belonging to draw strength from our differences; Reliability : words result in actions that build trust. Responsibilities
What your day will look like
Design & Drafting
- Assist Electrical Engineers and Project Managers with the design and drafting support for multi-disciplinary projects
- Assist with the preparation of reports, specifications, and project memos
- Assist with electrical calculations including voltage drop, load calculations, short circuit analysis and Arch Flash studies

$47,900 - $77,100
Dillon is including the salary range that we in good faith believe may offer for this position. It will be dependent on the successful applicant’s education, experience, and skills, in addition to internal equity and geographic region. Dillon reserves the right to pay outside of the posted range, contingent on factors unrelated to an applicant’s gender or other status protected by provincial and / or federal law.
