Corpay is currently looking to hire a Director of Business Development within our Cross Border division. This position falls under our Global Integrated line of business and is located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

In this role, you will lead, coach, and motivate a team to create quality prospect appointments and sales-ready leads for our senior sales representatives. As a vital member of the sales leadership team, you’ll be working closely with our marketing and data research functions to shape and deliver on the regional strategy for prospect generation.

Role Responsibilities :

  • Oversee the Business Development team’s day-to-day activities.
  • Support the assignment of prospects and leads within the BD team.
  • Supervise the lead generation process, provide coaching, drive KPI-based activities, and ensure that any issues are resolved efficiently.
  • Participate in the recruitment, orientation, training, and set up of new hires in the team.
  • Work closely with internal business units to improve service delivery and workflow.
  • Liaise with management to ensure alignment.
  • Drive adoption and efficient use of our sales enablement technologies.
  • Able to lead by example, producing your own prospect appointments and sales-ready leads.
  • Ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills :

  • Degree / Diploma in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field preferred, or 8+ years of related experience.
  • 10+ years of inside and / or outside sales or partnership hunting experience.
  • 10+ years of inside and / or outside sales leadership experience.
  • Proficiency in using Salesforce, Seismic, Salesloft and Zoom tools for researching and contact management a plus.
  • Knowledge of the financial markets will be a plus, along with payment process understanding (training will be given)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with CRM systems (i.e. Salesforce.com), and sales-enablement technologies.
  • Demonstrated level of managing sales pipeline during the interview process.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong leadership skills; organizational and administrative skills.
