Job Description : EHS Coordinator

Apex Systems is a large staffing and consulting firm and we are looking for a EHS Coordinator  with a background with 0-2+ years of Environmental Health & Safety, writing / reviewing Safety SOPs, and some training experience to place at our Biopharma client.

Client :  Innovative Biotech Start-up

Contract / Perm & duration : 12month contract (possibility for extension or conversion to permanent)

• Contract will be 3-4 days onsite

Location :  Downtown Toronto

Our client is seeking an EHS Coordinator to provide support in the day-to-day technical and administrative operations of the EHS Team, as well as support the company in cultivating a positive safety culture across all sites. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Environmental Health and Safety, the successful candidate will be responsible for including but not limited to program and guideline development, support lab inspections and gap analysis, provide administrative support for safety committees, coordinate EHS training, tracking expenditures against operations budgets, and assisting with all other EHS administration and documentation as required to ensure regulatory compliance across all sites.
