SPRINKLER DESIGNER - JUNIOR

Overview

Location : Langley, British Columbia. Type : In the Office. Troy Life & Fire Safety Ltd. is looking for an enthusiastic Junior Designer to join our Langley, BC team starting May 2026. This is an entry level position with the successful candidate attending an in-person training period based out of our Mississauga, ON branch. This comprehensive training program will provide newly graduated individuals the chance to further their education and increase their knowledge of design layouts, hydraulic calculations, stock listing and project management. Working on real projects under a Senior Designer, the successful candidates will leave the training with the ability to hit-the-ground running and enjoy further career advancement opportunities.

The successful candidate will assist in producing drawings on a variety of buildings including commercial, residential, industrial and healthcare facilities.

Responsibilities

• Design, calculate and stock list fire sprinkler projects in a construction environment.
• Work with a team of fire protection designers, reporting directly to the design team leader.
• Liaise between management, estimating, design, fabrication, installation, and project management as a valuable team member resulting in increased profitability.
• Assist in continuing and maintaining company best practices in coordination with national fire protection design team.
• Verify that all deliverables meet NFPA standards and local ordinance.
• Other related duties as assigned.
