Linux Patch Management Engineer

Responsibilities

• Perform Linux OS patching and apply security updates across servers and endpoints.
• Monitor vulnerability reports and prioritize remediation based on severity.
• Collaborate with Security and Compliance teams to ensure adherence to organizational standards.
• Troubleshoot patch deployment issues and provide root cause analysis.
• Maintain documentation for patch cycles, exceptions, and compliance reports.
• Work with patch management tools (e.g., Ansible, Satellite, Spacewalk, or similar) for deployment.
• Ensure minimal downtime during patching through proper scheduling and communication.
• Participate in incident response for security-related issues.
• Automate patching processes using shell scripting or Ansible playbooks.
