Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to : Prepare the design and complete load calculations, schematics, equipment selection and system concept report Prepare the contract documents including the specifications Evaluate shop drawing reviews Ensure ASHRAE and LEED compliance where applicable Manage projects from design through construction Coordinate with other disciplines both internally and externally Direct, review, and approve project design changes Engage in meetings with clients, contractors, and other consultants regarding project reports and findings Provide expertise and guidance in the identification, analysis, and resolution of problems Create technical reports, documentation, calculations, and sketches Perform calculations, create specifications, and equipment selection Qualifications & Requirements Post-secondary degree in Mechanical Engineering or another relevant discipline required.
Professional Engineering Designation (P.Eng) required. 5+ years of experience in Mechanical Engineering for industrial, commercial, and / or institutional buildings.
Strong background knowledge in Building Design with an emphasis on mechanical systems (HVAC / Plumbing / Fire Protection).
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to meet deadlines / successful completion of deliverables.
Effective verbal and written communication skills. Familiarity with the LEED accreditation process is an asset. Position Details : Type : Full-time Location : Scarborough, ON Eligibility : Applicants must be eligible to work in Canada.
