The Credit team works cross-functionally with Machine Learning, Fraud, Product, Engineering, Capital Markets, and Commercial teams to responsibly manage the risk profile of the business. We’re looking for an intelligent, driven individual who wants to learn, grow, and solve hard problems.

The team’s mandate is to enable sustainable growth while closely managing the profitability and resilience of our portfolio. As affirm continues on an exciting growth trajectory, designing credit strategies for new initiatives and products, partnering with the Machine Learning team to continuously enhance our underwriting framework, and being ready to navigate through any exogenous changes will be important problems to tackle.

This role requires a lot of cross-functional partnership, with extensive use of data analytics to derive insights and develop credit strategies. What you’ll do

• Partner with cross‑functional teams and be the Credit POC that manages the end‑to‑end credit strategy for the Amazon portfolio
• Leverage alternative data and optimize our credit strategy to expand credit reach to the low FICO and credit invisible users
• Partner with Machine Learning team to enhance our underwriting framework for high AOV
• Support new product formation and new vertical exploration

Employees new to affirm typically come in at the start of the pay range. affirm focuses on providing a simple and transparent pay structure which is based on a variety of factors, including location, experience and job-related skills.

Base pay is part of a total compensation package that may include equity rewards, monthly stipends for health, wellness and tech spending, and benefits (including 100% subsidized medical coverage, dental and vision for you and your dependents.)

CAN base pay range per year : $170,000-220,000

Affirm is proud to be a remote‑first company! The majority of our roles are remote and you can work almost anywhere within the country of employment. Affirmers in proximal roles have the flexibility to work remotely, but will occasionally be required to work out of their assigned affirm office. A limited number of roles remain office‑based due to the nature of their job responsibilities.
