Job Title : Senior Application Support Engineer

Location : Toronto, Ontario

Duration : 6 Months

Introduction

Join our dynamic team as a Developer where you'll have the opportunity to design and implement cutting-edge applications using Power Apps and Power Automate. We are seeking talented individuals who are eager to integrate Power Platform solutions with various services and APIs, while providing exceptional support and insights through Power BI dashboards and reports.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in designing and implementing applications using Power Apps (Canvas and Model-Driven) and Power Automate workflows.
  • Proficiency in building dashboards and reports using Power BI for actionable insights.
  • Knowledge of ITSM Incident Management, Application Support, and Upgrade Support.
  • Experience in Java J2EE programming, SOAP-based web services, SQL for batch processing, and exposure to Spring, Hibernate, Unix, MKS, Struts, and JSF programming.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in providing production support to applications running on Java and handling job abends.
  • Knowledge of Autosys and Mainframe Platform tools / products such as JCL, PROCS, TSO, ISPF, z / OS, and IBM utilities.
  • Exposure to Cobol and SAS programming, including data review, coding SAS scripts, and extracting reports.
  • Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Design and implement applications using Power Apps and Power Automate.
  • Build and maintain dashboards and reports using Power BI.
  • Integrate Power Platform solutions with SharePoint, Azure services, Jira, Confluence, and third-party APIs.
  • Provide production support to applications running on Mainframes and handle job abends.
  • Investigate, diagnose, and resolve L3 application incidents, providing temporary or permanent solutions.
