About the Role

IWG isseekingan organized and proactive Buyer to support procurement activities and supplier management within our AS9100-regulated manufacturing environment.

This roleis responsible forpurchasingmaterials, components, and services; managing supplier communication; supporting cost, quality, and delivery goals; and ensuringaccurateprocurement documentation. The Buyer will work cross-functionally with Production, Quality, Engineering, and Planning to support build schedules and ensure supply continuity.

WhatYoullDo

  • Manage the end-to-end purchasing process for materials, components, and services.
  • Issue andmaintainpurchase orders (POs) and ensure on-time delivery.
  • Request and evaluate supplier quotes and support competitive sourcing decisions.
  • Communicate with suppliersregardinglead times, shortages, order changes, and delivery schedules.
  • Support supplier performance monitoring and contribute to improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure that all received materials meet aviation documentation requirements (CoCs, material certs, test reports, traceability).
  • Collaborate with Quality Control to resolve non-conformances andassistin corrective action follow-up.

    • Maintainaccuracy of purchasing data, lead times, and pricing within the ERP / MRP system.

  • Review BOMs, engineering drawings, and specifications to support sourcing requirements.
  • Work cross-functionally to support production schedules, inventory accuracy, and cost reduction efforts.

    • What You Bring

  • Diploma orBachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of purchasing experience in manufacturing (aerospace or aviation preferred).
  • Understanding of procurement processes, supplier management, and contract terms.
  • Familiarity with AS9100 or ISO9001 quality systems.
  • Experience using ERP / MRP systems (Epicor, SAP, Oracle, Infor, etc.).

    • Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to read technical documentation such as drawings, BOMs, and specifications.
  • High attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.

  • Experience in aerospace or other regulated industries.
  • Knowledge of traceability, certification requirements, and aviation documentation.
  • Supply chainrelated certifications (SCMP, CPSM, APICS, etc.).
  • Understanding of lean, continuous improvement, or supplier development practices.
