FCC Construcción, through its subsidiary FCC Canada, has been present in Canada for more than 25 years. In 1998, it was awarded the contract for the construction, operation, and maintenance of the Fredericton-Moncton motorway. In 2011, it was awarded the contract to the extension of a section of the Toronto subway expansion, the city's first modern subway infrastructure project. This project was completed in 2019. In Canada, FCC is proud to be actively involved in multiple projects across Ontario and British Columbia aimed at improving public transportation and infrastructure.
Pape Tunnel and Underground Stations (PTUS) FCC Canada, in a 50 / 50 joint venture with Webuild Civil Works Inc., will deliver the Pape Tunnel and Underground Stations section of the Ontario Line. This includes the design, construction, supply, and operation of three kilometres of twin tunnels underneath Pape Avenue between the Gerrard tunnel portal and the Don Valley bridge, two underground stations (Pape and Cosburn), two tunnel portals, three emergency exit buildings, and a rail switch / crossover near Sammon Avenue. The Pape Station connection will interface with the Toronto Transit Commission Line 2 subway and related works.
Position Summary
Reports to : Document Control Lead
The Document Control Coordinator Shall Be Responsible For
- Coordinate and oversee all aspects of the Document Control process, including the registration, uploading, distribution, and archiving of technical documents, drawings, and commercial correspondence.
- Monitor and follow up on action items with cross-functional discipline teams to ensure timely completion.
- Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and compliance of documentation with established policies, procedures, and quality standards.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information, contractual terms, and project-related data.
- Manage the seamless flow of documentation across internal departments and external stakeholders, ensuring timely access and availability.
- Retrieve and provide documents upon request, supporting various project teams and departments efficiently.
- Develop and manage electronic document workflows to streamline review and approval processes.
- Conduct quality checks on incoming and outgoing documentation, identifying and resolving discrepancies proactively.
- Collaborate closely with other document control teams to align practices and support overall documentation goals.
- Prepare detailed, ad-hoc reports and summaries for ongoing projects as needed by management or project leads.
- Perform additional administrative or project support duties as required to contribute to overall team success.
Education And Qualifications
Completion of a post-secondary education—Bachelor’s degree or College Diploma preferred—or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in Document Management or a related disciplineMinimum 3–5 years of document control experience in a construction project or site-based environmentProven experience in computerized and / or manual document control management, preferably within the engineering or a related industryStrong organizational skills and attention to detailProficiency in document control software and Microsoft Office SuiteAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environmentJob Requirements
