General Assembler
Job Description
Assembler.
This will be a day shift position (% onsite)
Pay rate will be $- / hr.
This is a contract position (3 months with a possibility of extension.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
Assemble / build small equipment and / or sub-assemblies.
- Read and follow work instructions.
Inspect assemblies, and use appropriate tools like torque drivers and various hand tools, etc.
Disassemble and prepare machines for shipment.
May be required to fabricate or modify parts, using shop equipment with supervisor approval.
You are responsible for ensuring that your work area is kept clean and tidy daily, and your tools are stored properly prior to leaving at the end of the workday.
You are responsible for following all health & safety policies and procedures and OHS Act.
Perform other duties as assigned by management
Requirements
3-5 years assembly line experience assembling small equipment.Proficient in reading and following work instructionsProficient in using productivity tools, torque driver, etc.Capable to lift to lb. small devices, to assembly stationCarry out high quality work and maintain good records.Ability to meet deadlines under conditions of multiple demands and conflicting priorities.Strong challenging spirit, Team player, quick learner, self-motivated, able to work under minimal supervision, and enjoy learning new things.Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.High degree of flexibility and be willing to work after hours and weekends.Request proper tools and instrumentation to be provided.Request parts from stockroom.Demand proper assembly documentation.Raise issues related to equipment and operations safety.Point out manufacturing and design issues, update as built drawings, as required.
