Rogers Communications Inc. is Canada's national communications company, engaged in three primary lines of business - wireless, cable and media. The legal department, which is comprised of about 60 legal professionals, advises on some of the most challenging and cutting-edge issues facing the telecommunications and media industries in Canada.

What you'll be doing :

Reporting to the Senior Counsel, Consumer, based in Toronto, the Legal Counsel will join a collaborative team of legal professionals providing legal advice on a wide range of consumer matters, with a focus on consumer / marketing law.

• You will be principally responsible for providing legal and strategic support to the Rogers consumer business, which delivers wireless and residential services to Canadians from coast to coast. Such work will include reviewing customer-facing marketing materials, drafting legal terms / disclaimers and overseeing the consumer contracting process.
• You will also support our product teams responsible for launching new consumer programs, working with cross-functional teams at the forefront of building and maintaining Rogers' telecommunications business.
• You will also support our digital teams responsible for consumer marketing and buy flows, ensuring compliance with consumer laws, competition law, and implementing best practices for digital marketing and contracting.
• You will also keep up to date with new legislative developments in consumer / marketing law and advise the business accordingly.
