Our client in the Retail industry is seeking a Senior Financial Systems Analyst for their team. As a member of the Finance Business Technology group, the Senior Financial Systems Analyst is responsible for supporting the financial systems used by the Finance & Accounting department.

The successful candidate will use use their prior experience to resolve issues, design and run queries, reports, and analytics in response to requests by end users and provide training on systems as required. This position is also responsible for representing finance on various information technology projects as well as system upgrades with designing processes, requirement gathering and testing.

The successful candidate will support the end-users and work with stakeholders to ensure end-to-end processes and information are flowing accurately.

This position will build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with relevant stakeholders such as the Information Technology, Finance & Accounting, Financial Planning & Analysis, Supply Chain, and other business teams as required. This role will report into the Manager, Financial Systems.

Responsibilities will include :

• Collaborating and building strong relationships with IT, accounting and finance and other cross-functional project team for requirement gathering for projects and develop future state and future processes.
• Understand Finance requirements from an accounting and control perspective to ensure these requirements are met on project initiatives and to ensure that overall business objectives are met
• Support various projects including system implementation, enhancements, compliance including but not limited to requirement gathering and design etc.
• Support end-users in finance and accounting with any system-related issues
• Troubleshoot, investigate, and solve operation system issues as they relate to financial transactions and information
• Collaborate with IT, accounting and finance and project team for requirement gathering for projects.
• Analyze testing data to ensure test results are as expected, and raise issues to team when results are not as expected
• Document processes and standard operating procedures and training users as required
