We are currently recruiting for a Litigation Associate to join our dynamic Toronto team. This position is for a Lawyer with 1+ years of post-call civil litigation experience, preferably in the insurance defence area, including non-bodily injury. An interest in coverage litigation is welcomed. The successful candidate will run files independently and work with experienced and respected senior counsel on larger matters. An existing client base is not required. We offer attractive performance-based remuneration opportunities, and flexible and innovative work arrangements where appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Handling all aspects of litigated matters, with the mentorship of senior counsel
• Independently handling examinations for discovery, mediations and motions
• Supporting senior counsel on complex matters
• Practice and client management and contact
• Business development and professional profile enhancement
• Meeting billable and non-billable targets
• People / team leadership, mentorship and management
