Role Overview :
We are seeking an Electrical Project Manager to join our team in Hamilton. In this role, you will lead electrical engineering projects for building services, ensuring high-quality design, seamless coordination, and on-time delivery. You will act as a key liaison between clients, contractors, and internal teams, playing an integral role in the successful completion of innovative and sustainable building projects.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead the development of electrical engineering concepts and design briefs for building systems.
- Prepare calculations, select equipment, and oversee detailed designs, including layouts, wiring, and schematics.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders, including architects, interior designers, and contractors.
- Review and manage project deliverables, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards.
- Conduct site inspections and field reviews to assess existing installations and ensure project quality.
- Act as contract administrator, managing change notices, budgets, and project schedules.
- Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates, resolve technical issues, and ensure satisfaction.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering technical growth within the team.
- Promote and enforce company standards for project administration, documentation, and processes.
Requirements
Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario or senior C.E.T. with equivalent experience.8–10 years in electrical building services design and engineering, with 3+ years in project management.Strong understanding of electrical design concepts, methods, and codes, including the Ontario Building Code, CSA, ULC, IEEE, IES, and NFPA standards.Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, and other engineering tools.Experience in sustainable design (LEED or Net-Zero projects) is an assetStrong communication and leadership skills.Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and clients simultaneously.Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.Benefits

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with P.Eng registration in Ontario. 8-10 years of experience designing electrical systems for buildings. In-depth knowledge of building codes and electrical standards in Canada. Proficiency in design tools like AutoCAD and Revit. Strong communication and leadership skills.
