Role Overview :

We are seeking an Electrical Project Manager to join our team in Hamilton. In this role, you will lead electrical engineering projects for building services, ensuring high-quality design, seamless coordination, and on-time delivery. You will act as a key liaison between clients, contractors, and internal teams, playing an integral role in the successful completion of innovative and sustainable building projects.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead the development of electrical engineering concepts and design briefs for building systems.
  • Prepare calculations, select equipment, and oversee detailed designs, including layouts, wiring, and schematics.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders, including architects, interior designers, and contractors.
  • Review and manage project deliverables, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards.
  • Conduct site inspections and field reviews to assess existing installations and ensure project quality.
  • Act as contract administrator, managing change notices, budgets, and project schedules.
  • Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates, resolve technical issues, and ensure satisfaction.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering technical growth within the team.
  • Promote and enforce company standards for project administration, documentation, and processes.

Requirements

  • Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario or senior C.E.T. with equivalent experience.
  • 8–10 years in electrical building services design and engineering, with 3+ years in project management.
  • Strong understanding of electrical design concepts, methods, and codes, including the Ontario Building Code, CSA, ULC, IEEE, IES, and NFPA standards.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, and other engineering tools.
  • Experience in sustainable design (LEED or Net-Zero projects) is an asset
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and clients simultaneously.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

  • Requirements

    Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with P.Eng registration in Ontario. 8-10 years of experience designing electrical systems for buildings. In-depth knowledge of building codes and electrical standards in Canada. Proficiency in design tools like AutoCAD and Revit. Strong communication and leadership skills.
