Business Development Manager Industry : Freight Brokerage / 3PL

Location : Burlington (Onsite)

Reports to : Sales Manager

Compensation & Benefits Salary : $50,000 – $60,000 per year (depending on experience and performance potential).

  • Role Overview As a Business Development Manager , you directly shape your earning potential and career trajectory. Your core responsibility is to identify, prospect, and secure new business through cold calling, outreach, and relationship-building—fully supported by our internal teams.

    Once a customer is onboarded, they transition to our dedicated Solutions Team, allowing you to continue generating new opportunities while earning ongoing permanent commissions .

    You will start by focusing on cold calling and prospecting, eventually building strong, meaningful relationships rooted in trust and integrity . These customer partnerships will be long-lasting and rewarding.

    Industry experience is an asset, but not required. Demonstrated sales success and cold calling experience are essential.

  • Job Requirements

  • 3+ years of outside sales experience (Freight Brokerage / 3PL experience is a strong advantage)
  • Outside sales experience – non-negotiable
  • Proven success in sales and cold calling – non-negotiable
  • Ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships – non-negotiable
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Logistics (preferred)
  • Experience engaging customers by phone, video, and in-person
  • Availability to be accessible when customers need support
  • Strong energy, initiative, and relationship-building skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Logistics or transportation experience (an asset)
