Overview
We are seeking an experienced Civil Litigation Law Clerk with a minimum of five years of dedicated practice to join our team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional legal drafting skills, along with a strong understanding of the Rules of Civil Procedure and experience with modern Ontario court platforms, including CaseLines and the Justice Services Online (JSO) portal.
Duties
- Oversee and organize complex litigation files, ensuring all documentation is accurate and timelines are strictly followed.
- Draft, review, and revise legal documents including pleadings, motions, and correspondence with precision and clarity.
- Manage electronic filings via the JSO portal and organize digital hearing bundles for CaseLines.
- Assist in preparing discovery requests, responses, and manage document review processes.
- Provide administrative support which includes (but is not limited to) completing file opening forms, photocopying, scanning and filing.
Qualifications
Minimum of five years’ experience working in Canada as a civil litigation law clerk or paralegal.Demonstrated expertise in legal drafting, document review, and case analysis skills.Familiarity with litigation procedures, court rules, and document management systems.Excellent writing skills with the ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly and effectively.Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.Experience in mortgage enforcement considered a strong asset.Salary
$70,000+ depending on your experience and skills.
