They play a crucial role in ensuring that the CRM system is effectively implemented, customized, and utilized by the sales team to optimize sales processes and drive business growth.
The position will also support a number of business systems and integrations involved in the sales process.
Main Responsibilities
Configure, customize, and administer the Salesforce CRM system to meet the organization's specific sales and business requirements.
This includes managing user accounts, profiles, roles, and permissions, as well as creating and maintaining custom objects, fields, workflows, and reports.
Ensure data integrity and accuracy within the Salesforce system. This involves performing regular data maintenance tasks, such as data cleansing, de-duplication, and data import / export.
Additionally, oversee data security and access controls to protect sensitive information.
- Provide training and ongoing support to sales team members and other users of the Salesforce system. Educate users on system functionality, best practices, and procedures to enhance their productivity and maximize their utilization of the CRM system.
- Collaborate with sales and other stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into system enhancements.
Customize Salesforce features, layouts, and processes to align with sales strategies and improve overall sales efficiency.
Develop and maintain various reports, dashboards, and analytics within Salesforce to provide real-time visibility into sales performance, pipeline, and other key metrics.
Create customized reports and dashboards as per management and sales team needs.
- Integrate Salesforce with other business systems and applications to streamline data flow and automate processes. Work closely with IT teams and third-party vendors to implement integrations, such as with marketing automation tools, ERP systems, or customer support platforms.
- Stay up to date with Salesforce updates, releases, and best practices. Identify opportunities for process improvement, system optimization, and enhanced user experience.
Proactively propose and implement changes to ensure the CRM system remains aligned with evolving business needs.
- Perform regular system maintenance activities, including managing system updates, patches, and backups. Troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, and provide timely resolutions to address system errors or user concerns.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of system configurations, customizations, and processes. Develop user guides, training materials, and knowledge resources to support users in utilizing Salesforce effectively.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as sales, marketing, IT, and operations, to align Salesforce with overall business objectives.
Communicate updates, changes, and enhancements to relevant stakeholders, ensuring smooth adoption and user acceptance.
Education & Experience Required
- Certified Salesforce administrator
- A minimum of 5 years of directly related working experience as a Salesforce administrator
- Experience with relational databases using Microsoft SQL server (building databases, using Transact SQL, creating stored procedures)
- Experience building integrations
- Experience implementing and integrating Salesforce to custom and commercial business solutions
- Experience with the Microsoft stack of Office tools (Excel / PowerBi / SharePoint)
- Understanding of Business Intelligence (BI) and Data Warehouses would be an asset
- Extensive programming experience using Apex, C#, VB.net, ASP.net, Java, Python, SQL Server
- Strong written and oral English communication skills
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Ability to communicate and coordinate with other departments and stakeholders
