Veterinary Emergency and Referral Hospital of West Toronto is looking for an experienced Registered Veterinary Technician to join our emergency team!

Common Skills used within ER as a RVT: Venipuncture & IV catheter placement Triage & Assess patients/obtain vitals.

Critical thinking Providing nursing care/monitoring to hospitalized patients.

Anesthesia, Surgery prep, Patient recovery Running in-house lab testing & use of Cubex Filling prescriptions/Dispensing oral and iv medications Drug administration. Radiographs Provide client education!

ECG monitoring Advanced CPR RECOVER certification provided for all employees.

Requirements: Must be a Registered Veterinary Technician in good standing with OAVT .

Strong skills in anesthesia and willingness to learn advanced techniques.

Experience in multi-modal pain management.

Proficient in radiography and bandage changes.

Comfortable with drug dosage calculations and creating anesthetic protocols.

Skilled in catheter placement and blood draws.

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and provide top-notch patient care.
