Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate all on-site construction activities, ensuring that the project progresses according to plan.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment at all times.
  • Oversee the scheduling of trades, deliveries, and inspections.
  • Coordinate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Monitor project progress and report regularly to senior management on timelines, budgets, and any potential issues.
  • Resolve any on-site conflicts or issues in a timely and professional manner.

Qualifications :

  • 5+ years of experience as a Site Superintendent, preferably with new build projects (community centers, institutional buildings, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, project scheduling, and budgeting.
  • Proven experience managing large construction teams and coordinating multiple trades.
  • In-depth knowledge of Ontario building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans, drawings, and specifications.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Certification in Construction Safety (e.g., WSIB, First Aid, and WHMIS) is an asset.
