Job Title : MPD Junior Operator (Job ID 27759900) – Location : Leduc, Alberta, Canada – Company : Premium Oilfield Technologies – Department : Managed Pressure Drilling (MPD) – Employment type : Full‑time – Salary : competitive pay – Rotation schedules – Growth opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with rig‑up, rig‑down and maintenance of MPD equipment (chokes, manifolds, RCDs, etc.)
  • Support senior operators in live wellbore pressure control during drilling operations
  • Perform equipment checks, cleaning, and prep before and after each job
  • Help troubleshoot and repair equipment alongside experienced technicians
  • Complete daily field reports and keep operational documentation up‑to‑date
  • Participate in toolbox talks, safety meetings, and follow all safety protocols
  • Maintain tools and ensure equipment is field‑ready and reliable
  • Learn quickly and develop a strong foundation in MPD systems and drilling best practices

Qualifications

  • Mechanically inclined with eagerness to learn new technical systems
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Comfortable working in the field, including remote sites and rotating shifts
  • Safety‑first mindset with strict adherence to procedures
  • Prior oilfield or MPD experience is a bonus but not required
