Job description

Job Title : MPD Junior Operator (Job ID 27759900) – Location : Leduc, Alberta, Canada – Company : Premium Oilfield Technologies – Department : Managed Pressure Drilling (MPD) – Employment type : Full‑time – Salary : competitive pay – Rotation schedules – Growth opportunities.

Responsibilities

Assist with rig‑up, rig‑down and maintenance of MPD equipment (chokes, manifolds, RCDs, etc.)
Support senior operators in live wellbore pressure control during drilling operations
Perform equipment checks, cleaning, and prep before and after each job
Help troubleshoot and repair equipment alongside experienced technicians
Complete daily field reports and keep operational documentation up‑to‑date
Participate in toolbox talks, safety meetings, and follow all safety protocols
Maintain tools and ensure equipment is field‑ready and reliable
Learn quickly and develop a strong foundation in MPD systems and drilling best practices

Qualifications

Mechanically inclined with eagerness to learn new technical systems

Strong teamwork and communication skills

Comfortable working in the field, including remote sites and rotating shifts

Safety‑first mindset with strict adherence to procedures

Prior oilfield or MPD experience is a bonus but not required
