POSITION SUMMARY

The Video Editor is responsible for the assembly of recorded footage, music, dialogue and text into a final video.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Degree or Diploma in film, video production, communications or related (a combination of education and experience can be substituted)

2+ years of professional experience working with video editing software (Adobe Premiere)

Knowledge of Adobe CC products - After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, Media Encoder

Solid understanding of basic visual concepts and storyboarding

Strong eye for graphic design and typography

Strong troubleshooting skills

Current knowledge of relevant digital video technology and standards

Passion for technology and learning

Superior written and verbal communication skills

In-depth knowledge of export settings and codecs

JOB DUTIES

Edit entertaining and compelling short form videos maintaining technical and aesthetic industry standards.

Produce basic motion graphics, including text animation, simple transitions, and logo animations.

Cohesively tell a story using tempo, transitions, music, sound effects, graphics, and voice.

Adapt stylistically to work within existing brand parameters.

Adhere to strict deadlines

Management of digital assets ensuring proper labelling and file structure is maintained
