We are currently recruiting for the following role in our Calgary office :
Coordinator, Sponsorships and Client Engagement
The Coordinator, Sponsorship and Client Engagement is responsible for supporting business and client development initiatives relating to client relationship growth, lawyer engagement, collaboration and increasing firm profile and awareness. This role will have accountability for sponsorship-related local and national business development planning, project management and execution, including managing strategic, firm sponsorships, ensuring alignment with the firm's strategic priorities, tracking and oversight of sponsorship agreements, coordination of follow up and aftercare, and identifying new areas of strategic sponsorship opportunity for the firm.
Essential Functions :
- Responsible for fully leveraging each firm sponsorship investment by developing yearly sponsorship plans, asset negotiation / valuation, brand recognition application, on-site activation, content strategy development, internal / external communication of sponsorships, advertising and post event reporting.
- Works directly with the CCDO, industry and practice group leads and Local Managing Partners to identify, prepare, evaluate, and make recommendations for investment in sponsorships, conferences,speaking opportunities, and other events and initiatives that promote client and lawyer engagement.
- Collaborates with the marketing, communications and design team to develop and lead appropriate strategies to gain maximum marketing benefit for the firm including profile, thought-leadership, advertising and any aspect of brand activation.
- Manages systems and processes to track, measure and report on the ROI on sponsorships and client engagement activities.
- Accountable for monthly budget management, tracking and reconciling all sponsorship expenses and activities.
- Engaged with the Client Development and Events teams nationally to support reoccurring firm sponsorships
- Key liaison with other offices in management and oversight of national sponsorships calendar
- Assists with branded merchandise and client gifting.
- Develops processes to accurately reflect sponsorship and all client activity in CRM and other project management tools.
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree or certificate in marketing, communications, public relations or related field.Minimum five years’ experience in sponsorship / promotions, event and / or marketing management, with special consideration for experience in a professional services environment.Excellent project management skills, attention to detail and creative and strategic thinking. Project Management certificate would be an asset.Demonstrated experience and success in providing timely advice and support in an intense and fast-paced environment.Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and effectively track and report out on same.Proficient in MS office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).Strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence, including excellent relationship management abilities, diplomacy, flexibility and patience.Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.Positive attitude combined with flexible approach to varying client base and needs.Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team, and with people from diverse backgrounds and competing needs and priorities.Presents the firm’s image and serves as a model of the firm’s brand and culture.Must be able to motivate and lead, as well as work independently and to exercise sound judgement in a responsible position.Must be proactive and able to take initiative.Ability to work flexible hours and overtime as required.
