You'll work with one dedicated team from strategy and assessment through design, implementation, management and optimization to reach a true end-to-end solution.

Job Description

Database Administrator

Kitchener, ON

The role requires travel to Austria immediately by end of October for 4 weeks, so someone who can travel hassle free is good.

Skills

Advanced Experience with operating of Linux Server
Advanced Experience with DB / 2 administration
Advanced Experience with DB / 2 scripts
Advanced Experience with DB / 2 tools
Advanced Experience with DB / 2 performance monitoring
Basic knowledge of a ticket system

Activities

DB / 2 Performance Monitoring

DB / 2 -Installation and Configuration

DB / 2 Operating

Initial Load ofDB

Workload Management Databases reflecting SLAs

Monitoring of Middleware-applications (DAE, …)

Monitoring concurrent DB usage

Session Control during Release-updates (avoid downtimes)

DB / 2 Migration

Configuration / Operation of UDB
