Job Summary

The Junior Mechanical CAD Designer is trained in Mechanical design and works with Senior Mechanical Designers and Electrical Hardware Designers to fix existing SolidWorks CAD files (3D & 2D) and upload them with the correct meta data to SolidWorks PDM.

Duties and Responsibilities

The Junior Mechanical CAD Designer is expected to assist the Senior Mechanical Designers in :

• Checking existing SolidWorks CAD files
• Comparing the SolidWorks CAD files with the as built products
• Revising the SolidWorks CAD files if needed
• Fixing all SolidWorks CAD files and adding the missing meta data
• Upload the fixed SolidWorks CAD files to SolidWorks PDM
• Investigations into modelling
• Performing measurements to assist in completion of design checking
• Completing designs
• Maintenance of existing Mechanical designs and drawings
• Perform all work in accordance with established procedures and guidelines as described in the Product Development Process.

Work Location : In-office environment that is currently 3 days per week

City : Surrey

Type : Full-time, Temporary (4 to 8 months)

Compensation : $23 / hr - $26 / hr
