We are currently seeking an “Financial Accountant” to support our dynamic team. As an integral member of the team, you will be responsible for variety of accounting tasks supporting the team. Your pride will be in staying focused and handle a lot of detailed information as well as a variety of tasks will be a vital part as you learn and grow within this diverse and interesting position.

Responsibilities

• Full cycle accounting with emphasis on Accounts Payable
• Month End Financial Statement preparation
• Data entry and coding of invoices along with coordinating payments
• Purchase order preparation
• Prepare quarterly client reports
• Reconciliation of bank and credit card accounts
• Fixed asset schedule and prepaid asset schedule maintenance
• Ability to prepare government filings (GST & PST)
• Balances intercompany accounts by reconciling entries
• Completing timely and accurate full-cycle bookkeeping services
• Maintains accurate records and control reports
• Demonstrates ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
• Maintains a high level of confidentiality in handling sensitive documents
• Supporting other accounting functions for the team
• Ad hoc duties assigned by Manager / Controller as required

Skills and Qualifications:

• Post-secondary education with a diploma or degree in Accounting / Finance
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience or 1 year in the same position
• Experience in Replicon, QuickBooks Online would be an asset
• Experience working with clouded based database software
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to maintain the highest standard of confidentiality
• Strong computer skills and knowledge in relevant office software applications (such as Microsoft Excel using pivot tables, charts and graphs, lookup tables, formulas, and filtering)
• Ability to work both independently and as a team
• Self-motivated with the ability take initiative
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Motivated with the ability to prioritize and work well under pressure

We offer a 37.5-hour work week with Fridays being WFH and half days!

The salary for this role is based on an average of 37.5 hours a week. The estimated range is between $38.50- $42.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience.
