Social Worker – St. Martin de Porres School

This full‑time, on‑site role at St. Martin de Porres School in Surrey, BC requires a Social Worker to support students, families, and staff to foster a positive and inclusive school environment. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, developing intervention plans, providing individual and group counseling, collaborating with families, teachers, and external organizations to address students' social, emotional, and mental health needs, and organizing and implementing programs to promote well‑being and resilience.

Qualifications

• Strong counseling, emotional support, and case management skills
• Ability to perform comprehensive assessments and devise intervention strategies
• Proficiency in collaborating with families, educators, and community partners
• Strong written and verbal communication skills tailored to different audiences
• Knowledge of child development, mental health best practices, and crisis management strategies
• Experience working in school settings and / or with children and youth is preferred but not mandatory
• Master's degree in Social Work or a related field, with licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Social Worker in British Columbia
• Excellent organizational, time management, and problem‑solving skills
