We are currently seeking a Data Analyst to join the Data and Analytics team in the Wealth Technology group at CI Wealth. The Data and Analytics team supports the organization through data management, data governance, reporting, and business intelligence and insights. The successful candidate will work on data-related tasks that underly these strategic pillars. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both data analysis and business processes.
Responsibilities
Respond to inquiries and requests for information from stakeholders promptly.
Work with stakeholders across multiple teams to identify needs and requirements.
Support the administration of data management solutions.
Document and maintain data mapping specifications and governance requirements.
Ensure stored data is easily accessible to internal and external teams.
Extract, analyze & interpret large, complex datasets.
Support various stakeholders with reporting and analytics requests.
Improve training and operational procedures to increase productivity.
Analyze current business processes and make recommendations for improvements.
Work closely with Data Engineers to support the implementation of data pipelines.
Qualification Requirements
Experience
2+ years of work experience in quantitative analysis.
Education / Training
Post-secondary degree in a quantitative discipline.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to details.
Solid understanding of data and data modeling.
In-depth knowledge and experience with the following tools :
Office suite e.g., MS Excel
Database system e.g., PostgreSQL, Snowflake
Cloud Technology e.g., AWS, Snowflake
Working knowledge and understanding of SQL and / or Python.
A strong analytical mindset and sophisticated written and verbal communication skills.
Experience in the Financial Services Industry is an asset.
Ability to work within an organization based upon continuous improvement.
