HighPath is a software platform for businesses to identify, research, and apply for funding opportunities. Businesses that are on HighPath use it to identify investors, grants, banking products and more. HighPath is working to automate the matching and application drafting process to provide businesses with a single solution for running their funding process.
Our mission is to help 100,000 businesses across Canada and the US get funding in the next 5 years. To do this we are assembling a team of incredible software engineers, data scientists, and sales gurus to help build the next generation of funding software.
We are a small team which means that new team members will be instrumental in shaping the direction of the technology, strategy, and culture. About You
We’re looking for a Junior Front-End UI Developer to join our team and ensure the smooth operation of our development and deployment processes. You will work closely with our engineering team to design front-end workflows, bring customer feedback to life through thoughtful UI implementation, and ensure our platform is reliable and scalable. You should be proactive, detail-oriented, and have excellent creativity skills.
Ability to buildclean, reusable React componentsfrom Figma designs or written specifications
Strong CSS fundamentals : Flexbox, Grid, responsive layouts, and layout debugging
Experience withmodern styling systems(CSS Modules, Styled Components, Tailwind, or equivalent)
Strong sense forUI spacing, alignment, typography, and overall visual polish
Comfortable navigatingFigmato extract spacing, component structure, and interactions
UI Animations & Interaction
Hands-on experience creatingUI animations and micro-interactions(CSS transitions, keyframes, or JS-based animation libraries)
Experience withFramer Motion, React Spring, GSAP, or similar
Strong eye formotion design, timing, easing, and interaction feel
Ability to take a static design and add meaningfulinteraction polishthat enhances UX
Performance Mindset
Understanding ofReact rendering behaviorand how to avoid unnecessary re-renders
Awareness of bundle size, image optimization, and interaction performance best practices
Solid TypeScript experience (typing props, API responses, enums, utility types)
Ability to write predictable, type-safe code in a component-driven architecture
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
Stronger TypeScript knowledge, including generics and advanced typing patterns
Familiarity withSEO best practices(semantic HTML, metadata, performance implications)
Experience usingStorybookfor component documentation or visual testing
Basic accessibility awareness (focus management, keyboard interactions, ARIA roles)
Exposure to design systems or contributing to shared component libraries
