Team Lead - Electronics Recycling

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Team Lead to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the department at an electronics recycling plant, as well as disassembling various types of electronic equipment and components, ensuring that all parts are sorted with care and precision. This role requires strong leadership qualities, and an understanding of different electronic components and batteries.

Job Type: Temporary - Ongoing

Location: Scarborough, ON

Pay Rate: $21.00/hour

Hours: 3:30pm to 12:00am, Monday to Friday

Responsibilities:

• Monitor staff throughout the day to ensure productivity remains high
• Sorting mixed boxes into categories while removing batteries, paper, ink toners, and cutting cables off of related material
• Quality control of all outputs, ensuring objects and materials are properly categorized and dispersed of
• Maintain an organized workspace, ensuring that all parts are sorted and labeled appropriately.
• Collaborate with team members to improve disassembly processes and efficiency.
• Follow all safety guidelines while working.

• Ability to lead a team and ensuring high productivity
• Material sorting, battery sorting, taping
• Maintaining a clean work area
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Must be able to stay focused.
• Must be a quick learner (decision maker).
• Must be able to pick and sort in a fast manner with great accuracy.
• Must be able to perform repeated tasks/actions.
• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada and able to work full time hours as required by this position
