Senior Java Developer

Position Description

We are Canada's largest independent information technology services firm, and after 45 years, we're still growing! Join Canada's largest IT Company as a “Senior Java Developer” in our Banking Services Division.

Location – Downtown Toronto (Hybrid – 3 days office and rest remote)

Your future duties and responsibilities

• Design and develop RESTful APIs using Spring Boot with strong focus on security, error handling, and logging.
• Build clean, maintainable data access layers using SQL and relational database principles.
• Collaborate with front-end teams to ensure seamless SPA integration and API communication.
• Write clean, readable, and easily modifiable code, reducing complexity and avoiding unnecessary special cases.
• Make strategic design decisions prioritizing long-term simplicity and maintainability.
• Communicate design intent clearly and collaborate effectively with teammates.
• Ensure robust testing, documentation, and observability for APIs and services.
