What- the Role :

We are looking for an Intermediate Accountant with 2-5 years of full-cycle accounting experience to join a privately owned company in the real estate sector with a significant investment portfolio. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a small, collaborative team where you can make a meaningful impact. • Support daily accounting activities and maintain accurate financial records.
• Perform full-cycle accounting for the company and related entities.
• Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Prepare and file GST returns and assist with T-slip filings.
• Ensure compliance with internal accounting policies, controls, and reporting deadlines.
• Assist with audit preparation and coordination with external accountants as needed.
• Provide guidance and training to junior accounting staff.
• Assist in the preparation of internal financial statements and management reports.
• Review financial data for accuracy and consistency prior to submission.
• Support variance analysis and other ad hoc financial analyses as required.
• Identify opportunities to streamline and enhance accounting processes.
• Support the integration and maintenance of financial systems such as Certinia (FinancialForce) and Salesforce.
• Maintain organized and complete accounting documentation.
• Reporting directly to the Senior Accounting Manager and working with the VP of Finance as needed.
• Perform ad hoc analyses and special projects as assigned by the Senior Accounting Manager or VP of Finance.

Where :

West Vancouver, BC, this role is onsite 5 days / week.
