They our looking for an Outside Sales Representative . This position is responsible for promoting, selling, and supporting guarding systems and equipment attachments for heavy machinery. This role focuses on developing new businesses, maintaining existing customer relationships, and providing technical sales support to contractors, equipment owners, dealers, and industrial clients. The ideal candidate combines strong sales skills with technical understanding of heavy equipment applications and safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Identify and pursue new sales opportunities for heavy equipment guarding and attachments
- Manage and grow an assigned territory or customer base
- Develop long-term relationships with contractors, fleet owners, dealers, and end users
- Meet or exceed monthly and annual sales targets
- Prepare and deliver sales presentations, proposals, and quotations
Product & Technical Support
Understand customer applications and recommend appropriate guarding and attachment solutionsProvide technical product information, demonstrations, and application guidanceCoordinate with engineering, production, and operations teams to ensure accurate solutionsAssist customers with product selection, specifications, and compatibilityCustomer Service & Account Management
Maintain regular contact with existing customers to ensure satisfaction and repeat businessHandle inquiries, pricing requests, and order follow-upsResolve customer issues related to product performance, delivery, or installationSupport after-sales service and warranty processes as neededAdministrative & ReportingMaintain accurate CRM records, sales forecasts, and activity reportsTrack leads, opportunities, and customer interactionsCoordinate with internal teams on order processing and delivery schedulesQualifications
Experience in B2B sales, preferably in heavy equipment, attachments, or industrial productsStrong understanding of construction, mining, forestry, or industrial equipment applicationsExcellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skillsAbility to read and interpret basic technical drawings or specificationsValid driver’s license and ability to travel within assigned territoryPreferred
Experience selling guarding, safety equipment, or OEM / aftermarket attachmentsTechnical or mechanical background related to heavy machineryFamiliarity with dealer networks and contractor salesCRM experience (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar)Working Conditions
Combination of office, remote, and field-based workRegular travel to customer sites, dealerships, and job locationsCompensation & Benefits
Base salary ($55,000-$60,000) plus commissionVehicle allowance or company vehicleBenefits package (health, dental, RRSP Match.).
