Position Overview :

Reporting directly to the Service Supervisor the position of Apprentice Heavy Equipment Technician is responsible for a variety of Caterpillar equipment repair functions within a service-oriented environment.

Major Job Functions :

Assist Heavy Equipment Technicians with troubleshooting repairing and maintaining all heavy duty equipment and / or related equipment in a timely fashion.

Other related duties as required.

Computer literacy is required with an understanding of Finning systems and software programs considered assets.

Mechanical aptitude with a basic understanding of heavy equipment parts and repairs.

Work as part of a team to meet Finning customer service commitments.

Maintain positive relationships with customers and co-workers.

Understand and adhere to all Finning policies including Code of Conduct and Safety.

Ensure all service documentation and billing is accurate and properly recorded.
