Description de posteSupervise, assist, guide, mentor, and develop a team of fabricators, welders and shop helpers. Lead all Fabrication, Welding and Material Preparation including the Waterjet, sawing and abrading areas. Review and ensure compliance with all documentation requirements including : time-tracking, quality assurance, operation completion, and ISO 9001 / AS9100D. Develop new and improve existing SOPs. Manage resources and labour to ensure all materials are received when required, and all parts are complete when due. Create, review, and document detailed technical plans of complex fabricated parts. Provide design feedback to Engineering and Sales departments. Purchase tools and supplies and communicate with suppliers. Oversee maintenance of all fabrication and material preparation equipment and arrange repairs when required. Oversee and manage shop improvements to ensure continuous improvement and progress. Support, execute, and expand upon management initiatives. Champion the maintenance of a safe and clean department 10+ years of fabrication experience. Supervisory experience required. Broad background in fabrication, welding, waterjet, sawing and abrading all types of materials. Stainless steel and austenitic stainless steel material use is an asset. Knowledge of CWB and / or AWS welding standards. CWB welding qualification and welding supervisor qualification are assets. ERP usage for planning, scheduling and managing work required. ProShop ERP experience is an asset. Able to use Microsoft Office Suite. Strong communication and soft skills. Strong organizational, planning, and scheduling skills. Adaptable in rapidly-changing environments. Creative approach to problem-solving in both shop and management problems.

Job Description
Reporting to the Shop Operations Manager, we are actively looking for aFabrication & Material Prep Foreman. This position will manage our team of fabricators, welders, shop helpers and be accountable for coordinating the departments throughput. This will include managing on-time delivery and team performance, overseeing team training and development, assisting with technical solutions, and increasing the productivity of the department.
This is a growth-oriented position and we are looking to improve and establish procedures, structure, and best-practices to allow for scaling our fabrication shop, while preserving the quality and speed we are known for.
