Our client, a well-established and growing organization located in Downtown Toronto , is seeking a Controller to lead its accounting and financial reporting function. This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, internal controls, and supporting strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable / receivable, payroll, and month-end / year-end close
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with ASPE / IFRS
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes
• Maintain and enhance internal controls, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency
• Manage cash flow, working capital, and banking relationships
• Coordinate year-end audit and liaise with external auditors and tax advisors
• Support senior leadership with financial analysis, reporting, and strategic insights
• Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team
• Ensure compliance with Canadian tax, payroll, and regulatory requirements
