Role Overview
The Document Production Group Manager leads and oversees the day‑to‑day operations of the Document Production Group. The role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and a passion for mentoring team members to foster a collaborative environment.
Location : Any Canadian office. The position may occasionally require work during evenings, weekends, or holidays.
Responsibilities
- Provide high‑level operational, strategic, and administrative support for the Document Production Group.
- Manage workflows, allocate work, and identify gaps to implement process improvements that enhance efficiency.
- Advise team members on administrative and procedural policies to ensure compliance within a shared services model.
- Communicate with professionals and legal administrative assistants to clarify directions and requests, following up on work product as necessary.
- Provide input on the selection and use of software and tools to deliver high‑quality documentation.
- Responsible for hiring, training, and performance management of the Document Production Group team.
- Review, design, and refresh processes related to document production to build efficiencies and improvements.
- Act as a resource regarding standards of document preparation and provide direction on software applications.
- Run reports and deliver insights into performance, trends, and challenges for department operations and projects.
- When required, work alongside specialists to produce high‑quality documents.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
10+ years of relevant management experience, preferably in a professional services environment.Advanced technical expertise in MS Office, Adobe, Kofax, Photoshop, Kofax PDF, and WordLX.Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment.Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of Firm members with the aptitude and business acumen to understand, appreciate and take care of internal client needs in a professional and courteous manner.Demonstrates a solutions‑oriented approach, challenges status quo, and strives to improve processes.Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven ability to motivate, work collaboratively, and mentor others.Advanced problem‑solving skills, including the ability to set priorities while dealing with conflicting and emerging priorities for the department.Benefits and Perks
