Role Overview The Systems Testing / QA Specialist (Intermediate) will support the delivery of large-scale identity and access management solutions, including
Digital Verification Services (DVS) and
Public Secure systems. The role focuses on ensuring high-quality, secure, accessible, and scalable identity verification solutions through comprehensive manual and automated testing across highly integrated enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities - Collaborate with project team members during requirements and design phases to develop comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and detailed test cases for DVS and Public Secure systems.
- Define and execute test strategies covering functional, non-functional, security, performance, accessibility, and integration testing, supported by a requirements traceability matrix aligned to identity verification workflows.
- Develop, execute, and maintain manual test scenarios and scripts, including identity document validation, client system integrations, and Public Secure functionalities.
- Participate in test data preparation to simulate realistic identity verification and public-facing use cases.
- Identify, log, track, and manage defects using Azure DevOps / VSTS, including coordination with vendors for defect resolution.
- Produce testing status reports, metrics, and issue summaries using Azure DevOps to provide clear visibility into progress and risks.
- Document and maintain QA and QC Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) specific to DVS and Public Secure implementations.
- Work closely with Product Owners, Project Managers, Business Analysts, and Systems Analysts to ensure QA deliverables align with project scope, timelines, and identity assurance levels (e.G., GO ICA IAL2, IAL3).
- Participate in defect triage and review meetings, providing root-cause analysis and resolution recommendations.
- Conduct functional and non-functional testing with a focus on document verification accuracy, system performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Perform AODA / WCAG 2.0 accessibility testing using tools such as WAVE.
- Execute mobile testing to validate usability and functionality across supported mobile platforms.
- Conduct security testing to identify vulnerabilities in identity verification workflows and ensure compliance with privacy and security standards.
- Manage test data and oversee test environment readiness to ensure production-like testing conditions.
- Perform data migration testing for integrations with legacy systems or external client databases.
- Support release testing and client-specific validation activities as required.
- Provide backup QA support to team members to ensure continuity during absences.
- Develop QA checklists for program areas integrating with Public Secure and DVS solutions.
- Design, develop, maintain, and execute Selenium-based automated test scripts to support regression and efficiency.
- Brief Project Managers and IAM leadership on test strategies, plans, results, and key findings related to DVS and Public Secure objectives.
Required Skills & Experience Large Identity & Access Management Systems (30%) - 10+ years of experience triaging, analyzing, diagnosing, and resolving QA issues in enterprise-level systems.
- Demonstrated experience implementing and supporting Single Sign-On (SSO), identity federation, identity provisioning, and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).
- Hands-on experience with enterprise IAM platforms such as Okta.
- Proven experience testing enterprise online identity verification services such as Interac, IDVerse, and Okta SaaS solutions.
Large Application Implementation (30%) - 10+ years of QA experience supporting large-scale applications with 10, 000+ users.
- Extensive experience testing COTS and SaaS-based platforms.
- Proven ability to design, develop, document, and execute comprehensive test cases for large implementations.
Quality Assurance & Testing (30%) - Strong experience developing test strategies, test plans, and test cases.
- Extensive experience testing web applications and analyzing HAR files.
- Experience testing RESTful APIs using tools such as Postman.
- Working knowledge of SQL, databases, JSON, XML, XSLT, and XML schemas.
- Understanding of EAI principles, data transformation, and system integrations.
- Hands-on experience with AODA / WCAG accessibility testing tools such as WAVE.
- Strong defect management experience using Azure DevOps / VSTS.
- Experience with Selenium automation, including script development, maintenance, and execution.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes, including Change, Release, Problem, Service Level, and Capacity Management.
Stakeholder Management (10%) - Proven experience working with cross-functional teams including Product Owners, Project Managers, Business Analysts, and Systems Analysts.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Must-Have Qualifications - 10+ years of QA experience supporting enterprise-level identity and access management systems.
- Proven experience with SSO, identity federation, identity provisioning, and MFA using platforms such as Okta.
- 10+ years of experience designing and executing test cases for large-scale COTS and SaaS solutions.
- Strong mix of manual and automated testing, particularly for SaaS-based platforms.
