Under the supervision of the Surveyor and Survey Manager, the survey assistant is responsible for the implementation of the alignments and elevations of the structures necessary for the construction work. You'll work with state-of-the-art tools such as robotic total stations, GPS (GNSS), and drones, as well as specialized software like Civil3D, Trimble Business Center, and Cyclone 3DR.

RESPONSIBILITIES

—        Read and interpret plans and specifications.

—        Assist with establishing benchmarks on site for construction work.

—        Assist the necessary calculations for the layout and quantity calculations.

—        Assist with the compiling and processing site-collected data using specialized software.

—        Work closely with Senior Surveyors and Survey managers.

Requirements

—        Degree or Diploma in geomatics, or other construction engineering programs. (in process)

—        Experience in the field of civil engineering, ideally in surveying. (an asset).

—        Understanding of surveying instruments (total station, GPS, drones, etc.).

—        Strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite (an asset).

—        Valid driver's license.
