About the Opportunity
Monthly billing of special accounts including review of changes with operation and sales departments, and processing the billing in a timely manner
Manage day-to-day operations of the AR and Billing department; create, implement, document and maintain policies, procedures and controls. Manage and streamline billing and collection process
Assist staff in researching and handling more complicated transactions and problems, including handling customer escalations
Interface with customer service, sales organizations and senior levels management in communicating and resolving issues
Customer interaction, particularly related to the handling of escalated issues on a variety of substantive issues
Audit delinquent accounts considered to be uncollectible to ensure maximum efforts have been taken before assigning bad debt status to account
Liaise with collection agency, provide timely information and review reports and fee schedules
Monitor aging balances and recommend write offs. Review and approve credits and refunds
Recruit, coach, train, and schedule employees, communicate job expectations
Work with staff to prioritize work and ensure staff is trained on policy and procedure. Ensure work is accurate and is being processed in a timely manner
Develop and analyze collections metrics to drive team performance. Report the metrics to the Director of Finance and CFO
Lead the implementation of collection software, including training the team, creating and documenting workflows and suggesting improvements
Leading the implementation of billing procedures for newly acquired customers, liaising with the sellers to ensure all data is transferred correctly
About You
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in accounting or finance
Minimum of 5 years of experience in collections and billing
Experience in managing teams
Strong leadership and management skills
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Salary Range
100,000 - $110,000 / year
