Outside Sales Representative - Climate Control

Summary

Sunbelt Rentals, the fastest‑growing rental company in North America, is seeking a driven Outside Sales Representative to join our Climate Control Services division.

In this role, you will be responsible for renting and selling our full portfolio of portable air conditioners, dehumidifiers, air scrubbers, and temporary heaters within an assigned territory. Your customers will include commercial organizations, contractors, and event companies who rely on Sunbelt for mission‑critical environmental control solutions.

What You’ll Do

• Grow and manage a territory by developing new business and expanding existing customer relationships.
• Partner closely with teams across Sunbelt’s General Tool and Specialty Divisions to deliver turnkey, multi‑solution rentals.
• Work hand-in-hand with internal Sales Reps and Managers to drive deeper customer penetration and maximize opportunities.
• Serve as a trusted advisor, using a solutions-based approach to recommend the right products for each unique customer challenge.

What You Bring

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field equivalent industry experience
• 2+ years of direct sales experience
• Valid driver’s license in good standing and proof of auto insurance
• Experience in project management, new business development, and customer retention
• Familiarity with equipment rental or HVAC industries (preferred)

Skills & Abilities

• Proven success using a solution-selling approach
• Ability to succeed in a high-volume sales environment
• Strong communication, customer service, and relationship‑building skills

Physical Requirements

This role may require bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 25+ pounds, and working in both indoor and outdoor environments. Reasonable accommodations are available per applicable laws.

Base Pay Range

40,000.00 - 76,247.00

Total compensation package includes base pay, company vehicle, and robust commission plan.
