Audit Partner - Technology, Media & Telecom - TMT

Overview

RSM Canada is seeking an experienced Audit Partner to join the Technology, Media & Telecommunications (TMT) practice. Our TMT team serves public and private clients, including growth‑oriented, private equity and venture‑backed technology companies. Sectors include enterprise software, software as a service, e‑commerce, electronics and hardware manufacturers, semiconductors, social media, digital media, mobile technology, telecommunications, and more.

Responsibilities

• Serve as TMT engagement leader and / or client service coordinator, managing the auditing of all required financial statements, related disclosures, and other client deliverables
• Manage multiple engagements, oversee engagement status and ensure milestones are met for all projects
• Identify technical accounting matters early and assess impact on financial statements; coordinate with firm specialists as needed
• Review work product and communicate audit status to clients periodically; assess resources needed for project completion
• Maintain contact with clients throughout the year to develop deeper relationships and understand client goals and strategies
• Manage profitability of projects and evaluate strategy for growth of the Firm
• Assess risk and design and communicate audit procedures to engagement teams
• Understand RSM’s lines of business, discuss applicable services with clients, and identify opportunities to introduce other services
• Develop strategies to utilize external relationships and Centers of Influence to support business growth
• Provide insightful business advice and present yourself as a trusted business advisor
• Understand team members\' skillsets, monitor and review their work, and provide coaching notes
• Develop others within the Firm through facilitating training and advising on career development or participating in Firm initiatives
• Anticipate and address client concerns and escalate issues as they arise
• Support professional development through ongoing education
