Horizon Recruitment is recruiting for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join a growing consumer products company headquartered in Surrey, BC. This role plays a key part in supporting accurate and timely payments across both Canadian and U.S. operations. As the business continues to expand its footprint across North America, the AP Specialist will help ensure vendor relationships remain strong and financial processes stay efficient and compliant.
Responsibilities
- Process invoices with accuracy in Dynamics 365 Business Central
- Manage timely payments to vendors across the U.S. and Canada
- Reconcile purchase orders, invoices, and resolve discrepancies
- Communicate with vendors to address billing issues and negotiate terms
- Maintain accurate AP records for internal reporting and audits
- Ensure all payments follow internal policies and external regulations
- Support month-end and year-end close processes
- Assist with audit preparation and reporting
- Identify trends and suggest process improvements in AP workflow
Requirements
2+ years of experience in accounts payable or financeExperience handling Canadian payment processes; U.S. experience an assetKnowledge of POs, freight invoices, landed costs, and 3-way matchingComfortable working in a multi-currency environmentProficient with ERP systems; experience with Dynamics 365 Business Central is a plusStrong Excel skills and attention to detailOrganized, deadline-driven, and able to manage multiple prioritiesStrong communication and vendor management skillsTeam-oriented with the ability to work independentlyRemuneration
$60,000 - $65,000.
