Camp Pathfinder 2026 Season

Pathfinder seeks a student nurse for our 112th camp season. Camp Pathfinder, est. 1914, is a rustic boys summer camp operating for over a century in Algonquin Park. Pathfinder nurses play a crucial, rewarding role in a renowned camping community.

Roles and Responsibilities::

• Integrate nursing and health knowledge with a camp tradition of outdoor health and wellbeing.
• Provide care to a wonderful small community of 110 campers and 75 staff
• Assume a leadership role to influence healthy behaviors in the camp setting.
• Work with the Camp Director, Medical Directors (emergency physician and pediatrician), RNs, first responders and senior camp staff.
• Supervise swimming, lifeguard, create safe, fun waterfront environment.
• Paddle, swim, hike, stargaze and play in Algonquin Park every day.
• Become part of a great community and camp family spanning the world.
• Participate in wilderness medicine and first response education for camp staff.
• Attend the Ontario Camps Association camp health workshop in mid-April.
• Administer daily meds, prepare medical kits for out-trips, respond to injuries and illness, review and manage camper / staff health records, communicate with camp staff and parents as needed.
• Live in full time residence on beautiful Pathfinder Island, in the heart of Algonquin.

Full Season option: June 24 – Aug. 20, 2026

Two-Week Session Options:

June 24 – July 13

July 13 – 26

July 26 – Aug. 8

Aug. 8 – 20

Compensation:

For each position, a competitive salary is provided, per experience and qualification.

Includes room & board, training, and days off.
