Your primary responsibilities will include :
- Managing client engagements by providing assurance and accounting services to owner-managed businesses.
- Managing project financials including budgets, WIP, timely billing and collection, and variance recognition.
- Working under tight deadlines, delivering quality work, and anticipating and resolving client issues in a timely manner.
- Generating new business opportunities by promoting the firm’s expertise and services, as well as developing ideas and solutions.
- Mentoring, training and developing junior and senior staff.
- Complying with all confidentiality policies of the firm and applicable regulatory authorities.
A successful candidate will have :
- A Canadian CPA, CA designation.
- At least 4 years of public accounting experience in the audit function.
- A strong knowledge of Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises, IFRS and Canadian corporate and personal tax.
- Thorough knowledge and application of relevant professional standards, regulations and corporate governance requirements.
- A demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships with clients as a trusted business advisor.
- Organizational skills to handle multiple projects with conflicting timelines.
- Experience with MS Office, CaseWare and tax return software.
- Excellent interpersonal relations and demonstrated ability to effectively work with others in teams.
- A strong commitment to professional client service excellence.
