Conavi Medicals Novasight Hybrid System enables simultaneous imaging of a patients coronary arteries using both intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) and Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) technologies.

If you would like to be a part of a talented team that is making a difference in healthcare, we currently have a new opening for an R&D Engineer (Hardware) to support, develop andenhancenewandcurrent medical devices fromconcept throughtothetransfer to manufacturing.

In this position, you will:

• Assistin developingnew designsfor catheters through full product lifecycle from concept to production transfer (working with internal and external resources such as contract manufacturers).
• Develop and conduct pre-clinical/simulated clinical testing
• Develop and conduct design level testing
• Perform root cause analysis and investigations of non-conformances andfieldcomplaints
• Design catheter improvements based onperformancefeedback from the field and manufacturing line
• Co-develop test plans withOperationsand 3rdpartiesfor device verification and validation (both internal and external, including but not limited to sterilization, biocompatibility, useability, shipping, aging electrical,opticaland acoustic safety)
• Participate in riskanalysis andmanagement related activitiesto ensure patient safety
• Participate, and adhere to, health & safety initiatives and requirements

You possess the following qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Engineeringor other related engineering discipline
• Experienceinteracting with clinicians
• Experience working closely with third party suppliers and contract manufacturers is strongly preferred
• Experience, performing analysis of multivariate, complex problemsusing software tools such asMATLAB and Minitab
• Experience in full cycle product development of medical devices including design, verification, and scale-up
• Experience in image quality characterization/assessment is an asset.
• Ability to create mechanical models in 3D CAD (Solidworkspreferred) and 2D drawings for catheters, tools, and fixturesis an asset
• Experience writing verification plansandprotocols, conductingtestinganddraftingreports
• Familiarity with ISO 10993, ISO 11737, ISO 11607
• Key competencies include innovation, initiative, and communications
• Excels incollaboratingand workingin a team environment with different departments
