Overview

Element has an opportunity for an Associate Mechanical Test Technician to join our rapidly expanding team in Kitchener, ON. As a member of the operations team, the position performs a variety of routine and non‑routine tests to determine the durability of interior and exterior automotive, military and consumer goods parts and components.

Pay rate : $26–30 / hr CAD

Eligibility : you must be legally authorized to work in Canada as a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety and quality requirements
• Hands‑on skills and general knowledge to operate hand tools and power tools
• Review technical documentation and specifications
• Design, execution and installation of vibration / shock and environmental fixtures
• Operate laboratory test equipment mainly vibration / shock, environmental and others like tensile, impact, corrosion, microscopes, etc.
• Record laboratory notes and keep detailed notes of all executed tests according to internal procedures
• Observe and track test progress, assess tested parts, retrieve data and generate reports
• Manage time with general understanding of quality systems
