Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Security System Technician to install, service, troubleshoot, and maintain a wide range of electronic security systems. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically skilled, and comfortable working independently and on-site with clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, program, test, and maintain security systems including access control, CCTV, Enterphone, Magnetic Lock, and related low-voltage systems
- Computer Network, Set up & Installation
- Troubleshoot and diagnose system faults efficiently and accurately
- Perform service calls, upgrades, and preventative maintenance
- Read and interpret drawings, schematics, and technical documentation
- Provide clear communication and training to clients on system use
- Maintain accurate service reports and documentation
- Comply with all safety standards, company procedures, and applicable codes
Systems & Technical Experience (Preferred)
Access control systems (e.g., RBH Access, CondoPlex, Kantech, Salto, ICT, Butterfly)ADO Systems (e.g., Micom, Ditec, Dormakaba, Camden)CCTV systems and networking fundamentals (e.g., Dahua, Hikvision, March Networks, Axis Communications)Intercom Systems (e.g., iDentiv, CondoPlex, ICT, 1Valet, DoorKing, DoorGuard, Mircom, Webb)ULC Monitoring Panel, Set-up and Trouble shootingAmazon Systems, Set-up and Trouble shootingFiber Optics Terminations, Set-up and TestQualifications & Skills
Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience as a Security System Technician or similar roleStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionExcellent communication and customer service skillsValid Ontario driver’s license and clean driving recordAbility to pass background and security screeningAssets
Relevant certifications or manufacturer trainingExperience working in residential, commercial, and multi-unit residential environmentsKnowledge of Ontario building codes
